Since being one of the last designers to land a rack space at Paris’ now closed staple store, Colette, Victoria/Tomas has been on the rise. Victoria Feldman and Tomas Berzins are beginning to gain serious traction in the fashion world. The married duo often opts for a ‘cool’ Parisian look. Having been criticized for some of their previous collections looking a bit too embellished, this time around, the pair stuck to more central themes for their show.
One of the most eye-catching motifs on the runway being scarlet reds and baby blues. Having been inspired by the ‘80s, the designers used hints of bright red in their many-layered looks, like a leather beret.
The two remained true to their brand by incorporating their signature denim looks into the season and also inserted their classic rendition on the bucket hat. But this season, they've evolved from leather, and have grown into fabrics like satin and khaki.
Accessory-wise, Victoria/Tomas stuck with their elongated tote staple (perfect for laptops, they say), but they also expanded this concept by using puffer materials for this collection. Victoria/Tomas presented a clean, and focused collection with a minimal color palette, perfect for any city-dweller.
